This letter and the documents that follow are designed to inform you about our upcoming plans to reopen school for the 2020-2021 school year. The Butts County School System is committed to providing your child with a safe and continuous educational experience. In summary, BCSS will offer two learning options to K-12 students this fall: Face to Face Learning and Virtual Learning. We understand that the return to school is a personal decision for each family and that students have a variety of individual academic needs. Our desire is to provide options that work best for each unique family situation.
For students who will attend school for Face to Face Learning, we look forward to seeing you on August 4th. However, please know that based on guidance from our local and state health officials, it is possible that this delivery model could change based on the level of COVID-19 transmission within our community.
For students who wish to enroll in full-time Virtual Learning, please complete the enrollment form found HERE by July 16th. This deadline will allow schools to create virtual classrooms, plan, and train teachers prior to the first day of school.
To help you to better understand your options, we invite you to visit our website or click HERE for more information on each delivery model.
As always, the health and safety of our students is of the utmost importance. Please continue to check our website www.bcssk12.org for the most up-to-date information.
