Hi! Thank you for visiting my teacher's page. My name is Katie Barnett. I am a Special Education teacher at Stark Elementary School in Jackson, GA.  I graduated and earned my Bachelors degree in Psychology from St. John's University in New York, and then graduated and earned my Teaching degree in Special Education from East Carolina University, in North Carolina. The 2022-2023 school year will be my 22nd year teaching  Special Education. I am also certified in General Education and Elementary Education K-5. 

About Me:

I was born and raised in New York, and moved to Georgia in 2006. When I am not teaching, I love to workout at the gym, work on landscape design and interior decorating, spend time with my family and go to the beach. I compete in Women's Bodybuilding all over the United States and am on my way to earning my Pro Card. I love to help train others whenever possible. In the near future, I hope to further my interests by obtaining my license in Real Estate. My goal is to eventually live somewhere on the Gulf of Mexico.
