Degrees and Certifications:

Khaled Haider

I am a social studies teacher at Jackson High School and teach economics. JHS has been my home for 15 years. Before coming to JHS, I taught in Clayton County, GA, and Birmingham, Alabama.

On retirement from global corporate world, in response to a personal call, I got into teaching. To prepare for my new 'career' I attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) and got my M. A. in Education. Later I got an Education Specialist (EdS) degree from the University of West Georgia. Prior to getting into teaching, I had an M.A. in Political Science, and an M.B.A with major in Marketing.

Butts County School System honored me with Butts County Teacher of the Year for 2017 school year.

I and my wife Shelley got three children. They are all done with college and now pursuing their own careers, two in Investment Banking and the other in the movie industry. Shelley and I love people, nature, and travelling. We travelled to more than 47 countries, and counting!

I love to team-up with parents and students. Student-Parent/Guardian-Teacher, these three forces combined team is the key to student-success. I am available to reach on phone at 770-504-2340 Ext#2121, and conference on appointment between 7:30 to 8:00 I am also available after school on a mutually convenient time, on appointment. Though phone is there, I prefer to be communicated by email. You are more than welcome to email me at:
