Ms. Snyder’s students have been hard at work strengthening their writing skills by diving into the new state writing rubrics. They examined examples of both strong and weak student responses from the GaDOE and practiced connecting scores directly to the rubric criteria.
Students then broke into five small groups to analyze written responses from classmates based on last week’s writing assignment. Using the 3-trait rubric, each group scored the writing and clearly explained their reasoning for each score.
