Out-of District Transfers
Parents/Guardians should fill out the Tuition Application Form completely and submit it with all required documents to the Butts County Board of Education:

The Board of Education has established an annual tuition amount of $3,000.00 for approved out-of-district students.
The Butts County School System (BCSS) will use your child’s previous attendance, discipline, grades, and student achievement data in order to make a determination on any tuition application. It also reserves the right to deny an application for any student with an IEP/504 Plan if BCSS would have to increase or create or provide any accommodations that would prove to be an unnecessary burden on the school system or Butts County taxpayers. Further, BCSS reserves the right to withdraw the tuition status of any student if the student fails to demonstrate excellent attendance, behavior, and academic performance. This decision will be at the discretion of the principal. BCSS shall not provide bus transportation to any tuition student. The parent or guardian agrees to pay a non-refundable amount of one-half the tuition amount of $1500.00 prior to the child being enrolled at the assigned school. The remaining amount shall be paid in no less than six (6) equal payments of $250.00, due no later than the 5th day of each month beginning September 1st through February 1st.
If the student is approved to attend our school system, the parents/guardians will be required to sign a letter of aggreement outlining the terms of this enrollment.
