Daughtry Elementary School Names New Assistant Principal

The Butts County School System is excited to welcome Ms. Meg Bobbitt as the new Assistant Principal of Daughtry Elementary School.

Ms. Bobbitt has been in education for 26 years, working with Rome City School Troup County Schools, and Butts County Schools. During her 17 years in Butts County, she taught at Stark Elementary for 10 years, was the instructional coach at Daughtry Elementary for 4 years, and the last 3 years, has served as a district instructional coach for all Butts County schools.

Ms. Bobbitt earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University and her master's degree in Leadership in Educational Administration from Ohio University. 

"I am excited and proud to be back with the Colt family serving as assistant principal," states Ms. Bobbitt. "Education has always been a passion of mine, and I believe that educating children is one of the most rewarding things a person can do. I look forward to working with Daughtry students, parents, staff and faculty."
