Code Yellow at Jackson High School
BCSS Families & Stakeholders,
On the morning of February 12, 2025 around 9 AM, Jackson High School was placed on a Code Yellow in response to a social media post regarding a weapon on campus. School officials and SROs quickly investigated the validity of the post. A sweep and search was performed in the building and suspect’s vehicle. While items were found in the vehicle, it was determined that the weapon was a toy but still a violation of the BCSS Code of Conduct. No student or staff member was threatened with a weapon, and there was no incident of violence on our campus.
As always, we would like to thank local law enforcement for their cooperation and assistance in assuring the safety of BCSS students and staff.
Sincerely,
Brent Lowe
Superintendent
