Welcome to Second Grade!

My name is Mrs. Maddox and I will begin my 9th year of teaching at Jackson Elementary School. I have taught 2nd grade for 6 years. 2nd grade is a very fun grade to teach. I met my husband in 2010. We married in 2017. I have 2 children, Whitfield and Brynn. 

I grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School in 2011. I went to Georgia Southern University where I graduated In May 2016 with my Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. I also attended graduate school at Georgia Southern where I obtained my masters in Curriculum and Instruction in May 2020. Along with my masters degree, I have my specialist in Teacher Leadership from Valdosta State University. 

I am excited about watching my students grow throughout the year!
