Ms. Philysa Bennett / Mrs. Laura Martin

Welcome to Pre-K! Our names are Philysa Bennett and Laura Martin. This is our fifth year working together at Daughtry Elementary School. We are really excited to get the school year started and on it way! We have many fun ideas and things planned throughout the year.

To Start off, we would like to tell you a little bit about ourselves. Ms. Bennett has been teaching Pre-K for 15 years in public and private settings. She has a 15-year-old son, who is very active in sports. Ms. Bennett and her son love to travel and see new sights.  Mrs. Martin has been working with children for 9 years in public and private settings. She and her husband, Seth have a 17-month old son, who is growing up very fast. Mrs. Martin and her family like to visit the beach.

We would like to work closely together with you, and I believe frequent communication is vital. If you ever need to get a hold of me I can be reached at school. We arrive by 8:00am each morning and in the building until 4:00pm. The phone number for Daughtry is 770-504-2356, if we do not answer please leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can.

We will send out a class newsletter every Friday by email, please let us know if you do not receive them. They are filled with lots of important information about our class and school.

We are looking forward to having a wonderful school year with both you and your child!
