Mrs. Brooke Stroud
Hey! My name is Brooke Stroud. I am excited about this school year and looking forward to a wonderful year of learning and fun!
I grew up in Jackson and graduated from Jackson High School. Go DEVILS!! I have a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter College (now University), a Master of Arts in Education from Piedmont College, and a Specialist's Degree in Educational Leadership and Supervision from Lincoln Memorial University. This year is my 25th year of teaching. My first six years of teaching, I taught at Ola Elementary in McDonough. I taught kindergarten for five years and fourth grade for a year. I came back home to Jackson 19 years ago to teach at Stark Elementary (which was then North Mulberry Elementary). I have taught second grade, kindergarten and currently Pre-K at Stark.
I have been married to my husband, Wade, for 24 years. We live in Jackson and have 3 children. Sydney, Ridge and Sarah Ellen keep us very busy. We also have three fur babies, a Boston terrier named Sam, a chocolate lab named Oakley, and a german short-hair pointer named Dolly. My family loves to go to Disney World and go on cruises. We love all things Disney!! My favorite character is Minnie, and my favorite princess is Snow White. I enjoy dancing, singing, reading, and spending time with my family. I am also a member of the praise team and choir at Rock Springs Church.
One of the biggest accomplishments in my career was being named 2014 Teacher of the Year for Stark Elementary and Teacher of the Year for Butts County Schools. I will always remember that exciting time, but I am also thankful to the many students, parents, and colleagues that I have had the privilege of working with and all the memories I have made.
