Greetings! I’m Jennie Mae Smith.  I currently teach 8^th Georgia History. I attended and graduated from Valdosta State University with a B.A. in Political Science and studied post communism politics abroad.  I then attended and graduated from Clayton State University with a B.A. in Middle Grades Education with concentrations in Science and Social Studies.  While attending CSU I expanded my knowledge of multicultural education while visiting and observing education at an Indian Reservation. 

After college Mr. Smith and I married in Atlanta and moved to Kentucky were I taught 2 years in Hi Hat, Kentucky.  We then moved back to Georgia and taught in Newton County.  Teacher friends recruited me to Henderson.

In my free time I enjoy time with my family, cooking, historical accounts, gardening, traveling, and Pinterest Nailed it projects.
