We have been in constant communication with the Butts County Offices and Road crews and we don’t feel like the roads will thaw enough today to not have patches of black ice tomorrow even up to as late as 11:00 in shaded areas; therefore, we are cancelling school for Thursday, January 23rd.

Severe Weather - September 27, 2024
Due to recent information received during a National Weather Service briefing regarding potential severe weather caused by Hurricane Helene, the Butts County School System will be closed on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Code Yellow at JHS
On Monday, August 12, 2024 at approximately 12:05 PM, it was reported to a Jackson High School administrator of a possible weapon on campus. Out of an abundance of caution, the school was immediately placed on a Code Yellow and law enforcement was called. All students and staff are safe.
